As Congress and the Administration work to repeal and replace or simply revise the Affordable Care Act (ACA), healthcare will remain a dominant focus of the 115th Congress. All entities in the healthcare arena (hospitals, providers, clinical laboratories, medical device companies, pharmaceutical companies, the insurance industry, and others) are being impacted by the myriad of new requirements, policies and regulations. Given the enormous challenges and opportunities that the implementation of this massive new system will continue to present, every affected organization, association and trade group needs expert counsel in Washington to make sure their interests are protected.

The National Group is recognized as one of Washington’s most effective firms in the representation of hospitals, health systems and other healthcare-related interests. Having an unmatched breadth and depth of advocacy experience in the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate and with the Administration, The National Group is uniquely positioned to ensure that its clients have a seat at the table when decisions are made about legislation and regulations that impact healthcare.

Healthcare institutions retain our team for a variety of purposes including securing federal funding for priority needs, legislative and policy advocacy and regulatory assistance (Medicare, Medicaid, ACA consultation, political management, and more).

Over the years we have been instrumental in securing millions of dollars for research, patient care, health information technology, health education, professional health training, equipment and much more. We also offer our clients an unmatched healthcare policy monitoring service that is tailored to the specific interests of each client. Additionally, we have significant experience in helping our clients effectively work with the various healthcare agencies such as CMS, HHS, CDC and HRSA.

The National Group works with its healthcare clients to address individual legislative and/or regulatory challenges and, importantly, assists its clients in creating productive relationships with Congress, the federal agencies and foundations to secure federal funding for key priorities such as health information technology, health education and outreach initiatives, public health programs, capital and equipment needs, research and more. We develop individualized strategies for each of our clients that will help to ensure the greatest level of success in achieving legislative success, resolving regulatory problems and/or securing federal funding.
